The challenge
A respected name in Denmark’s financial landscape, Lån & Spar Bank held steady trust among union members. Yet, their digital presence was dimming—modern eyes missed robust services behind a façade that had lost its edge. Our investigations revealed the hurdles: a logo and palette struggling at digital scale, a tangled visual language, dated assets, and guidelines locked away in static PDFs. The essential question: how do you evolve a brand’s legacy to thrive in a digital-first world, while remaining true to its roots?
Approach
Great brands are shaped by open collaboration, so we made co-creation our foundation. Together with the bank’s visionaries, we tuned into customer insights, mapped pain points, and explored new vistas in a series of immersive workshops.
Our mantra—“Evolution, not Revolution”—guided every move. Ideas stretched from subtle refinements to bold new directions, all rooted in strategy and led by creative exploration. What does the future look like when innovation and heritage walk hand in hand?
Transformation soon found tangible forms—custom typography built from the backbone of Lato, vibrant updates to the signature color palette, and the elegant ‘thin red line’ emerging as a unifying motif.
Solution
The outcome? A brand ecosystem alive with purpose. Every detail—sharpened logo, refreshed palette, signature typeface—now lives in a dynamic, digital brand manual. Animation guidelines, refreshed photography, and a central ampersand motif bring new stories to the forefront, while a collaborative design guide empowers teams to shape the future with ease and conviction.
